The primary purpose of the Grand Prix series is to increase participation in RRCA club races and to increase membership in the clubs.
RRCA clubs can enter up to five races.
Same Day Racing. For example, the tour can have up to four races on the same day.
Divisions will be for Open, Masters (40 and over), Grand Masters (50 and over), Senior Masters (60 and over) and Veteran Masters (70 and over) for male and female. Runners may receive points in multiple divisions if qualified for each division.
Race distances from 1 mile to the marathon are permitted.
Only one race per event is allowed. If, for example, your events consists of a 5k and a 10k you must designate which race is part of the Grand Prix at the time your application is submitted.
Race Course must be accurately measured and USATF certified.
Complete results must be submitted within two weeks after the race date.
A Runner must be a legal resident of SC. Points will be awarded based upon a runner’s placing among SC residents only.
A Runner must score in at least six races to win an award, except in the Veteran Masters Division where a Runner must score in at least three races to win an award.
Only the top 21 performances for any runner will be counted.
State Championship Events - Overall Division winners will receive Five Bonus Points . Only RRCA Clubs can put on a Championship event.
Double Points will be awarded at the Marathon, Born In The U.S.A. 4m, Hot Summer's Night 5k ,Labor Day 5m and Cold Winter's Day 5k only.
Five Bonus Points will be awarded for anyone setting a pending State or Age Group Record.
Five Bonus Points will be awarded for anyone scoring in more than 21 events.
Awards will be given to top 3 runners in all male and female divisions. Merchandise awards will be given to overall winners in each category.

Top 10 males and females for Open overall.
Top 8 males and females for Masters overall.
Top 6 males and females for Grand Masters overall.
Top 5 males and females for Senior Masters overall.
Top 3 males and females for Veteran Masters overall.
